My experience at Janz family therapy has been beyond exceptional. From the first session our family felt welcome and respected. Vanessa, our therapist is neutral yet shows us empathy through this difficult time. I'm eager to go back to our session and wished the hour wouldn't go by so fast. Our family has made improvements and I owe it all to Vanessa. Thank you so much for all that you do.
Client
When I first called for an appointment, the guy answer the phone was super friendly and helpful. We are working with Hannah for my daughter's sessions. She's very warm and friendly and works with my requests the best she can. The office is clean and quiet and very accommodating. We have been coming since July 2025 and it's been a good experience for us a as a family.

How do I know if my child needs therapy or if this is a phase?
The fact that you're here suggests that what you're seeing might be more than a phase. Therapy can help you sort what is development, what is stress, and what support fits.
My child won't talk to strangers. Will therapy still work?
Yes. Many children communicate best through play, art, movement, and relationship. Talking is not a requirement.
Will I be involved as a parent?
Yes, in a supportive way. Child therapy often includes parent check-ins so you have tools for home and you are not guessing.
What if my child is embarassed or refuses to come?
That is common. We go slowly, build trust, and help your child feel more choice and control. You will not be blamed if it takes time.
Do you take insurance?
Yes. We take all major Medi-Cal plans, including CalViva, Health Net and Anthem Blue Cross.
How long does therapy take?
It depends on your child’s needs and goals. Some families come for a focused season of support, and some benefit from longer-term work. We will talk about pacing together.
